Guess the Logo: Quiz Competition
Geeta Institute of Pharmacy has organized a creative activity for students during this lockdown period. Students were given the task of guessing the logos related to pharma sectors like important manufacturing units, pharma education, eminent fraternity of pharma field. It was really a great exposure and learning to students.
Lockdown Memories Competition
Geeta Institute of Pharmacy has organised a creative activity (collage making and short video based on theme) on lockdown memories for students. theme of the event was Social Service During COVID. Students from all over India actively participated in the activity.
A webinar on “Impact of Vaccination on COVID 19”
Prof (Dr) Sunil Jawla and other speakers Ms. Bharti and Ms. Swati focused on prevention of COVID 19 by Vaccination and safety measures. Vaccine are biological pharmaceutical preparation which provide active acquired immunity against a particular infectious disease. Vaccines are prepared from weakened or killed microorganisms or their toxins or their surface protein. Due to vaccination many infectious diseases eradicated from globe like polio, measles, small pox and tetanus. As per WHO report, twenty-five vaccines are licensed for preventing infections. As per WHO report, India supplies 90% of measles vaccine and other vaccines like BCG, Pertussis, Diphtheria and Tetanus vaccines are produced (40-70%) by Indian Pharmaceutical Companies. As the COVID 19 pandemic hit the world in 2020, Indian Pharmaceutical sector rose up and was able to manufacture sufficient drugs to maintain supply chain. Drugs like hydroxyl-chloroquine and paracetamol were exported to more than 150 countries. Hence Indian Pharmaceutical Sector become the “Reliable Pharmacy of the World”
Nashamukt Haryana: A Government Initiative
"Nashamukt Haryana"-An initiative of Haryana government; Geeta Institute of Pharmacy welcomes one of the famous Haryanvi singer MD Desi rockstar. He advocated for healthy lifestyle & spreads awareness about the tragic consequences of drug abuse. Students participated enthusiastically & took pledge against the consumption of any kind of drug and alcohol.

Generic Medicine Vs Branded Medicine: Debate Competition
Geeta institute of pharmacy organized a debate competition on the topic "Generic medicine Vs Branded medicine".
Herbal Garden Tour
Students of B. Pharmacy and D. Pharmacy visited herbal garden at Geeta Institute of Pharmacy and studied morphological characterstics of various medicinal plants. Chemical constituents and medicinal uses of these plants were discussed in Pharmacognosy laboratory.
Lohri Celebration
Geeta institute of pharmacy Celebrated Lohri on 14th January. Students actively participated in various cultural events organized on this day. Students of noth-east and other states learned the cultural heritage of north India.
58th National Pharmacy Week Celebration
58th National Pharmacy Week was celebrated by the students. The major focus of National pharmacy week celebration was to create awareness among the public, other health care providers about the role of pharmacist. Students participated in awareness rally, poster presentation, cultural events etc.
Expert Guest Lecture
Expert lecture on “Radioisotopes & their Application in Pharmacy” was delivered by Dr. Naveen khatri, Assistant professor, College of Pharmacy, Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. Dr. Khatri told about importance of Technetium 99m and also about other isotopes used in medicines for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
Motivational Lecture: Mr. Ajay Sharma
Geeta institute of pharmacy organized Motivational lecture delivered by Mr. Ajay sharma; certified trainer. He focused on like Relationship Management, Spoken English, Interview Handling, Public speaking, Life Management. Students discussed various aspects they are facing in their personal and professional life.
World Pharmacist Day Celebration
On this special occasion Dr. N.K. Ahooja, State Drug Controller, FDA Haryana visited the institute and blessed the students how they can become the successful pharmacist. He also gave the mantra for a successful teacher/ coach. We are really thankful to such an eminent personality to give his valuable time on this occasion. This day is celebrated every year to promote and advocate the role of the pharmacist in improving health all over the world. This day also spread awareness about the importance of pharmacist and its role in community pharmacy. The theme of World Pharmacist Day 2019 was "Safe and Effective Medicines for All". The role of pharmacist is very important in improving the safety of patient by using medicines precisely and reduce the errors related to medicines.

Tree Plantation By Lioness Youth Club
Tree Plantation program was organized by Geeta institute of Phamacy in association with by Lioness Youth Club, Panipat. Green plants are the basis for the sustainability and long-term health of environmental ecosystem. They remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and generate the oxygen for life. They are also a good source of food and protection. On this special occasion, herbal plants, fruit bearing plants were planted in the campus.
